2026 Toolkits

Investors, ISPs, grant writers, and government officials need high quality data. BroadbandToolkit.com a suite of toolkits designed to enable fast effective data-driven planning / decision-making.

Important:  stay tuned as additional 1H 2026 Toolkits with Fabric v7 data are added in the coming days!

Fiber Strategy Toolkit. This is a sophisticated tool, providing a nuanced view of deployed last mile fiber infrastructure to broadband serviceable locations. It enables the strategic planner to see both presence and depth of deployments and to apply sophisticated filters. It also includes an exhaustive competitive database.

Fiber Strategy Toolkit Pro. Everything in the Fiber Strategy Toolkit PLUS road lengths summed by hex and an associated suite of fiber analytics, from the Fiber Pre-Engineering Toolkit.

Fiber Pre-Engineering Toolkit (Midwest, Northeast, South, West).  A suite of capabilities for estimating fiber deployment costs based on road distances.  It seeks to bridge the divide between strategic planning and implementation, compressing the timeframe between identifying a business opportunity and initiating a high-probability-of-success engineering design effort.

Digital Equity Toolkit.  This is a powerful new resource for those participating in the Digital Equity Competitive Grant or in BEAD.  It complements the many infrastructure-oriented Toolkits below.  It quantifies and visualizes a vast array of societal needs.

National Hex Toolkit. This widely used tool provides a layered view of the all BEAD-eligible technologies (fiber, cable, copper/DSL, and licensed terrestrial wireless). It also includes a BEAD compliance section that visualizes eligible unfunded and underfunded project areas.

Fiber Finder. This is a simple but powerful tool showing the location of residential and business fiber deployments.

RE-Mapping BEAD Toolkit.  This is a resource for anyone interested in BEAD analytics.  It recalculates the maps, based on the changed rules associated with the BEAD Restructuring Policy Notice (June 6th, 2025).  It shows a theoretical calculation of what might changed under the RPN.  Prior to the Benefit of the Bargain round states made very specific decisions to allow or not all specific unlicensed providers.  As of early 2026 all states have submitted their final BEAD proposals and most have been approved.
